With the start of a new season, I feel hopeful and excited about the possibilities to come. This is such a new chapter for me in my life. With new changes unfolding such as leaving my full time job of eight years at Macy’s, I can’t help but to be excited about what’s to come.
If you were to tell me ten years ago that after college I would move to New York City and have a full time position as an assistant buyer at one of the biggest retailers in the country I wouldn’t have believed you.

That just wasn’t the trajectory I saw for myself. But what I love most about God is that he gives you a vision and then he tells you to dream bigger. He’s capable of just blowing our minds over and over.
Now, I as I reflect on the past eight years, I am amazed at all I was able to accomplish in such a short time. Not only did I have a successful, thriving career at Macy’s but I also started this blog, which ignited in me a more creative side that has only further developed over the years. When I started this blog in 2011, I had no idea that it would still be relevant so many years later.

However, it is my sounding board, my safe place and my constant reminder that I am so much more than just a corporate career woman. I am a woman of many talents and creative idea’s and passions and this is a place where I can bring all that to life. So, on this day, the second week of starting this new adventure in my life, I am reminded of how far I’ve come and eager for the journey ahead.
Embrace uncertainty. Some of the most beautiful chapters in our lives won’t have a title until much later.

What uncertainty are you willing to embrace in your life? I’m willing to embrace the fact that I’m not sure what’s next for me. Is it full time entrepreneurship? Is it another career move? Who knows, but for now, I’m willing to live in that uncertainty and accept it for what it is.
What are you willing to accept today? Let me know in the comments below!
