Thanksgiving is my second favorite holiday. In some years past it’s actually even trumped Christmas from an experience perspective. There’s nothing like everyone in the family showing up for Thanksgiving and you just have that incredible year that’s unforgettable. Making new memories with family and friends over some of the most delicious dishes is so much fun. Not only is the food good but the laughs are big and the jokes just keeping going all night long (at least with my family that’s how it is). For some people going home for Thanksgiving isn’t an option and for other’s Friendsgiving is a yearly tradition.
I’ve had my fair share of Friendsgiving hosting and it’s really the best. I loved hosting and helping to prepare dishes for friends. The Friendsgiving parties I’ve hosted in the past were all potlucks, which takes a ton of pressure off the host. If you are hosting, I highly recommend making your Friendsgiving potluck style. Save yourself some stress and a few coins and get an awesome menu with everyone’s contribution. A successful Friendsgiving potluck requires a highly curated menu that is directed by the host. You want to ensure the quintessential items are covered and then you can leave room for additional items that friends would like to contribute. In this post you will find some must have items for your Friendsgiving Menu this year.
1.Maple Roasted Brussel Sprouts and Butternut Squash
2.Garlic-Rosemary Pull-Apart Dinner Rolls
3.Spiced Herb Turkey
4.Perfect Mashed Potatoes
5.Grown-Up Bacon Mac & Cheese
6. Deep-Dish Apple Pie
If you at the very least have these main items on the menu for contributions you are sure to have an amazing and tasty Friendsgiving. What are some of your favorite items to bring for Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving dinner? Let me know down below in the comments section.
