How to maintain your curls during spring break

Hi Beauties!

Where to this Spring Break? South Beach? Jamaica? Panama City? No matter the destination the most important thing is the make sure your hair is on point!

When it comes to vacationing, hair can sometimes be a hassle. You’re in and out of water, on the go constantly and don’t have enough time to style your hair.

No worries, beauties. I’ve compiled a list of idea’s for you to think about when styling your hair on vacation!

Get a vacation weave

This is often times to easy way out! Try wavy extensions because it’s low maintenance! You hop out of the pool or beach and wash hair with water and towel dry. The wavy look will air dry and you’re good to go.

Co-wash

If you decide to wear your natural hair, bring a good co-washing conditioner with you on vacation. Since, you’re probably getting in the water multiple times a day it makes no sense to shampoo hair constantly. Hair will begin to dry out from the constant salt & chlorine water. The best way to combat this dryness to co-wash hair with conditioner as soon as you get back to your hotel room. After co-washing, use a leave-in conditioner and allow hair to air dry.

Styling

When it comes to styling your natural hair on vacation, my best advice is to utilize the messy bun, ponytails and messy up do’s. Don’t spend too much time on your hair. Go for more of an effortless look.

 Hair Accessories

Head bands, scarfs, straw hats, fedora’s and turbans are your best friend while on vacation. It’s a great way to protect your hair while looking fashionable!
