I hope to try this recipe next week! I will report back the results and maybe even do a quick video tutoiral and how it went!
Here is some inforomation on how both honey and avacado can benefit your curly hair!
Honey:
- Honey is a humectant, which means that it holds on to water molecules. (This will allow for thirsty coils to retain more moisture) Honey is also all natural and contains a lot of vitamins and minerals that are good for overall health.
Avocado:
- Avocados are rich with essential nutrients that soothe and moisturize natural hair. The healthy oils in the avocado help to moisturize and soften dry and brittle hair, and the vitamin E helps to restore a natural shine to your hair.

xoxo,
I've done this before… Avocado chucks are so hard to get out of your hair. I had to wash three times afterward and go through tiny sections with a fine tooth comb and STILL had some in there!
I've actually heard that before. But my idea was to puree the avocado and make it more of a paste with the honey and then maybe sit under the dryer to harden it. That way it rinses out similar to henna. It will take several rinses but it will eventually come out lol
Hi Natasha, I was just wondering how long it took u to make a full transition without doing the big chop. . .also, I LOOOOOVE ur blog!!! 🙂
