Hi Beauties!

The weather is changing but are your natural hair products changing? No need to throw away your entire collection, but it is important to revamp your products and purchase some weather specific products to help fight dry hair in the fall/winter months!

First, what’s key for the winter is MOISTURE RETENTION. With the harsh winds  and low temperatures your hair is extra prone to drying out and breaking easily. Keep breakage at bay by purchasing products that will help you retain as much moisture as possible. Try some of the products below for cleansing hair while moisturizing at the same time!

1.Elucence Moisture Benefits Shampoo — According to curlmart.com, this product has  “a special combination of lipids, vitamins and polysaccharides provides needed hydration to correct moisture-depleted hair.”

2. Jane Carter’s Hydrating Invigorating Shampoo — The official Jane Carter Solutions website boasts thatThis SULPHATE FREE shampoo employs humectants that helps your hair hold more moisture with an added hint of peppermint to wake up your scalp.”

3. Keracare Sulfate Free Hydrating, Detangling Shampoo — This shampoo gently cleanses, moisturizes, detangles and softens hair for easy combing. Not only is the hair left clean and healthy-looking, but the moisture balance of the hair and scalp is optimized – almost as if they were never disturbed from their natural state.

Don’t forget to purchase your staple oils to lock in the moisture that your training your hair to retain in the winter. Oils from your normal regimen like jojoba, coconut and tea tree oil continue to play a major role in the winter time but also try to add some castor and avocado oil to your regimen as well. Both these oils are natural humectant and possesses hair conditioning, thickening and softening properties. They will protect ends and moisturize dry, brittle and coarse hair well throughout the winter months!

Some of my readers often wonder about a daily moisturizer that will lock in moisture and keep hair feeling soft and touchable. For that I suggest,
Cocoa Tree Detangling Ghee or Qhemet Biologics Amla & Olive Heavy Cream.  Both these products lead to intense moisture, softness and sheen to hair.

Lastly, continue to deep condition hair weekly! Liberally apply your favorite deep conditioner to hair and sit under the dryer for 15-20 minutes to allow the conditioner to fully penetrate the hair. I recommend using Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque for Dry Damaged Hair.

This conditioner is my absolute favorite and it’s definitely worth the splurge. It’s made with some of my favorite oils: argan oil, tea tree oil, chamomile oil, aloe and algae extracts.

That’s all for now beauties?? Any other products that you recommend for the fall/winter months?

Let me know!
